Clayco Expands its Communication Marketing Efforts with New Chief Communications Officer

CHICAGO, IL – Clayco, a full-service turnkey real estate, architecture, engineering, design-build and construction firm, announced today the expansion of their communication and marketing team with the hiring of Jessica Herrala as Chief Communications Officer.

Herrala is responsible for leading team growth efforts and managing the Clayco brand as well as the sales and marketing process for the entire  Clayco enterprise, including all subsidiaries. Jessica is a 20-plus year veteran of the architecture, engineering, construction and development industry in senior level roles including communications, public affairs, marketing, business development, change management and strategic planning. Prior to joining Clayco she was Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at The Walsh Group. She also served as Head of Public Affairs, Communications & Marketing at Skanska USA for more than 16 years.

Shortly after joining, Jessica brought on three new directors who each manage different business lines of the Clayco enterprise: Mia Sissac, Oliver Muenz-Winkler and Shelby Kroeger all report directly to Herrala. She and her team of nearly 20 multi-disciplined communications and marketing professionals are focused on customers and transparent communication across all stakeholders.

Mia Sissac is the Director of Communications for CRG, Clayco’s privately-held commercial real estate development company. Sissac comes to CRG from the City of Chicago (COPA), where served as Deputy Chief Administrator – Public Information Officer. Prior to that she was SVP of Corporate Communications at Commonground/MGS and also spent seven years at DDB Worldwide as the Director of Communications.

Oliver Muenz-Winkler is the Director of Communications for Clayco’s Industrial Construction division.  Muenz-Winkler comes to Clayco from HLK, where he was Marketing Manager responsible for the implementation and execution of all key HLK branded marketing initiatives. Oliver earned his Bachelor’s in Communication with a focus in Marketing and Advertising from the University of Louisville.

Shelby R. Kroeger joined as Director of Communicatons for Clayco’s architectural division – including BatesForum and The Lamar Johnson Collaborative award-winning architecture and design firms. Kroeger joins Clayco from HED (Harley Ellis Devereaux) where she served as Communications Director responsible for the overall marketing operations of the firm including people management,website, proposals, public relations and pursuit strategies.
