CHICAGO, IL – Clayco, a full-service real estate development, architecture, engineering, design-build and construction firm – today announced that Jay Case has been named Principal of Clayco Realty Group (CRG), which operates as a major part of the Clayco brand. In his new position, Case will spearhead the expansion of CRG’s residential business with an eye towards creating a national residential development platform at CRG.

“Clayco is thrilled to welcome Jay to our team at Clayco Realty Group,” said Bob Clark, Chairman & CEO of Clayco. “Our incredible staff will greatly benefit from his many years of experience in development, financing and historical renovations. I know Jay will support the Clayco philosophy, which ensures there are no constraints that limit creativity or stand in the way of meeting our clients’ needs.”

Through CRG, Clayco has been involved in the design-build development of more than5,000 acres of land and over 30 million square feet of commercial, industrial, residential, mixed-use and hospitality product exceeding $4 billion value. CRG expanded into the residential and mixed-use sector in 2013 to include the development of student housing, condominiums, market-rate apartments, hotels and senior living facilities.

Since 1996, he had served as president of Orchard Development, guiding the company’s multi-family developments across the United States. While working with Orchard Development, which was then a Clayco client, Case assisted with the development of over 1,000 residential units, including mixed-use projects and historical renovations with an investment value in excess of $400 million.
